San Bal Ispat trades copper across two categories: finished refined copper for industrial buyers requiring the highest purity, and recycled copper grades for refineries, smelters, and cable manufacturers sourcing at volume. Every lot is graded to ISRI classifications and LME benchmarks before it moves.
Finished Copper
INGOT COPPER
Cast refined copper supplied in flat bar form, with consistent purity and uniform dimensions. Ready for direct use in foundry, alloying, and manufacturing operations. Supplied to agreed specifications with full documentation.
CATHODE COPPER
The global benchmark for refined copper. Cathode represents pure copper with no imperfections or deviations, making it the preferred input for precision manufacturing and electrical applications. Supplied to LME Grade A standard at 99.99% Cu minimum.

MILBERRY COPPER
ISRI - Milberry
Type - No. 1 Copper Wire
The highest grade of recycled copper we supply. Bright, bare, and unoxidized. Wire thickness is strictly above 1.6 mm; zero insulation and zero tin. Every lot is inspected and verified to ISRI BERRY classification. If you need recycled copper that performs like refined copper, this is it.
BARLEY COPPER
ISRI - BARLEY
Type - No. 1 Copper Wire
Our Bare Bright Copper Wire (Barley) is clean, uncoated, and unalloyed copper wire with high copper content. We offer this premium scrap grade for recycling and remelting applications.
The material is supplied free from insulation and coatings, with wire thickness and other requirements agreed upon according to buyer specifications.
BERRY COPPER
ISRI - BERRY
Type - No. 1 Copper Wire
Berry Copper is a high-grade No. 1 copper wire scrap, valued for its clean composition and suitability for recycling and remelting. We supply untinned, uncoated, and unalloyed copper wire and cable scrap in line with ISRI specifications. The material is free from brittle burnt wire and copper tubing. Wire gauge and hydraulically briquetted copper are subject to agreement between the buyer and seller.
BIRCH COPPER
ISRI - Birch
Type - No. 2 Copper Wire
Our Birch Copper consists of unalloyed No. 2 copper wire scrap, with a nominal copper content of 96% and a minimum of 94%.
We supply this grade for copper recycling, refining, and remelting applications. The material is reasonably free from ash and excessive insulation, solder, oil, iron, and other impurities, in accordance with ISRI specifications.
CANDY COPPER
ISRI - Candy
Type - No. 1 Heavy Copper Solids and Tubing
Known for its clean composition and high copper content, Candy Copper is a No. 1 heavy copper scrap grade used in recycling, remelting and secondary copper production.
At San Bal Ispat, we supply uncoated and unalloyed copper solids, including busbars, clippings, punchings, commutator segments and clean copper tubing. Hydraulically briquetted material is subject to agreement between the buyer and seller, in accordance with ISRI specifications.
CLIFF COPPER
ISRI - Cliff
Type - No. 2 Copper Solids and Tubing
Cliff Copper is a No. 2 copper scrap grade comprising unalloyed copper solids and tubing, with a minimum copper content of 94% as determined by electrolytic assay.
At San Bal Ispat, we supply this material for copper recycling and refining applications. The grade excludes excessive lead, tin, solder, oil, iron, brass, bronze, and non-metallic impurities, along with burnt wire and insulation. Copper tubing must be free from non-copper connections and sediment, and the material should be reasonably free from ash.
CLOVE COPPER
ISRI - Clove
Type - No. 1 Copper Wire Nodules
Processed from clean, bare, and unalloyed No. 1 copper wire scrap, Clove Copper is supplied as finely chopped or shredded copper nodules with a minimum copper content of 99%.
We offer this high-grade material for copper recycling and remelting applications. In accordance with ISRI specifications, it must be free from tin, lead, zinc, aluminium, iron, insulation and other foreign contaminants. Wire gauge and hydraulically compacted material are subject to agreement between the buyer and seller.
COCOA COPPER
ISRI - Cocoa
Type - Copper Wire Nodules
Our Cocoa Copper consists of unalloyed copper wire scrap, chopped or shredded into copper nodules, with a minimum copper content of 99%.
We supply this grade for copper recycling and remelting applications. As per ISRI specifications, the material must be free from excessive insulation and non-metallic impurities, with limits of 0.05% aluminium, 0.01% antimony, 0.25% tin, 0.05% iron and 0.05% nickel. Hydraulically compacted material is subject to agreement between the buyer and seller.
DREAM COPPER
ISRI - Dream
Type - Light Copper
Our Dream Copper consists of light, unalloyed copper scrap, including copper sheets, gutters, downspouts, kettles, boilers, and similar materials. It has a nominal copper content of 92%, with a minimum of 88% as determined by electrolytic assay.
We supply this grade for copper recycling and refining applications. In accordance with ISRI specifications, the material must be free from burnt wire, insulation, copper-clad scrap, radiators, excessive solder, brass, bronze, oil, iron, and other non-metallic impurities. The material should also be reasonably free from ash.
DRINK COPPER
ISRI - Drink
Type - Refinery Brass
With a minimum copper content of 61.3%, Drink is a refinery brass scrap grade used in secondary metal refining and recovery.
Our range includes brass and bronze solids, machining turnings, and alloyed or contaminated copper scrap. As per ISRI specifications, the material must contain no more than 5% iron and must be free from insulated wire, grindings, electrotype shells, and non-metallic materials. Hydraulically briquetted material is subject to agreement between the buyer and seller.
DROID COPPER
ISRI - Droid
Type - Insulated Copper Wire Scrap
Our Droid Copper consists of No. 2 copper wire scrap covered with various types of insulation, including PVC and other cable coverings.
We supply this grade for cable recycling and copper recovery applications. In accordance with ISRI specifications, the material is traded on a sample or recovery basis, with the copper recovery percentage and acceptance of jelly-filled wire subject to agreement between the buyer and seller.
DROVE COPPER
ISRI - Drove
Type - Copper Bearing Scrap
Drove Copper is a mixed copper-bearing scrap grade used in secondary metal refining and recovery. At San Bal Ispat, we supply this material in various forms, including skimmings, grindings, ashes, iron-bearing copper and brass, industrial residues, and slags.
In accordance with ISRI specifications, the material must be free from insulated wire, copper chlorides, unprepared tangled scrap, large motors, high-lead materials, and other specified hazardous contaminants.
DRUID COPPER
ISRI - Druid
Type - Insulated Copper Wire Scrap
Druid Copper is a No. 1 insulated copper wire scrap grade used in cable recycling and copper recovery applications.
At San Bal Ispat, we supply bare, uncoated and unalloyed copper wire with various types of insulation. In accordance with ISRI specifications, the copper wire must be no smaller than No. 16 B&S gauge, unless otherwise agreed. The material is traded on a sample or recovery basis, with terms agreed upon between the buyer and seller.
